the order of my titles

i did a lot of research for my titles to make sure they came up in the right order like other films.

the order i researched was:

we have used all the relevant people who have these jobs in real life

risk assessment

When we was filming our opening we had to think of a few rick assessments before we went ahead with our filming.

• Before we started filming i made sure the camera was set up properly and attached to the tripod correctly and that the microphone was attached to the microphone tripod correctly. i then made sure the microphone was switched on and that the battery was in properly.
• Whilst we was filming i made sure i was not disrupting any of the public and not getting in there way 
• We made sure that all of my actors were safe and that the acting they done was not harming them or the public or the environment we was in
• We also had to make that i did not drop or damage the camera and the microphone.
• We made sure the tripod was in a upright position and was not obstructing the public.

in theses shots you can see he location of our film is in the Reck Park in New Southgate.

We chose to film here because it is a good place for two girls to go running and it is a realistic place to set a film as well.

creating our music

even thought our film has dialogue in  it we decided to also have music playing.
we choose music on garage band which was already created by only short pieces which were not copy-wrote.
for our first attempt on creating out music we had a piano melody with slight changes throughout but this sounds too plain and simple so we decided to change it about and use music which is relevant to the footage playing. we now have music which gets tense when the scene does. we have altered the volume on both the speech and music so we can hear all the dialogue which is being said.

choosing the name for our film

when it cam to choosing out name for the film it took a lot of thought. we first thought of calling our film 'The Run' because the two girls our running when they find a body but we decided to change it because 'the run' does not sound like an thriller.
we then decided to research a few names and we came up with the name 'devils own luck' because in the rest of the film the two girls keep on getting bad luck and come face to face with devil. This name is more about our film without giving it away too much. This name is more relevant to our film and catches the public's attention so go and watch the film.

we have chosen to do a 'hammer film' because in our research we found out the hammer do a lot of horror/thriller films so this would go well with our film because it is a horror/thriller.
hammer have done a lot of film productions such as:

• the quiet ones
• the women in black
• let me in
• the residents

by this company doing so many of these genre films we thought it would be appropriate to use this production company in our titles.

we then did some more research and found out that Trinity Production does a lot of thrillers as well so we chose this production company. we thought this would be approiate due to the genre of our film

script

Jemma:(runs up to Mia) hi!
Mia: hi, its freezing today.
Jemma: I know it is cold

(whilst running two characters are just having general conversation)

Mia: lets take a break and sit here
Jemma: yeah im really out of breath, i feel really sick i should have brung my inhaler
Mia: oh yes you should are you okay?
Jemma: (walks over to bushes) yes i think i will be fine

Jemma:(look into the bush, looks behind shoulder and screams) OH MY GOD MIA HELP!!!
(Camera turns to were Jemma is looking and sees a dead body)
Mia: (running over to Jemma) Jemma whats wrong, what the hell, wait here i will go get help (runs out of shot)

Jemma:(picks up phone and dials 999) hello can i have an ambulance i have found a girl lying in the bushes, we are in the rep park please come quick. (puts down phone)

Jemma:(looks at body, shouts) MIA MIA WERE ARE YOU? (runs towards Mia) Mia i have rang an ambulance they are coming now
Mia: okay i could not find any help

our filming

Once Mia and i had looked back at the footage we had shot for our first attempt of our film we had realised a few important things which needed to be changed.
we decided to change these things:

• we changed the location of our film, when we filmed in Ravenscroft Park you could see the road in some of the shots and this made our film look bad
• we also changed some of the shots we did, instead of using the zoom we just did closer shots characters moving the camera closer or further away if needed. we also made sure all of the shots were smooth and that the camera was not jerking around a lot.
• we also decided to do a basic script for the actors to follow.

When we re-shot our film we had all of these points in out minds and made sure all of the shots were smooth, we made sure the characters knew their lines, we made sure the microphone was working because when we first shot the microphone did not work, we also made sure we did not use the zoom and if we did when we zoomed out it would be smoothly.

the twilight saga breaking dawn part 2 opening

In the opening scene of breaking dawn the first titles you see the company who have created the film, then the main characters in the film. You then see where the film is set in the woods. You don’t see any of the main characters because you know who they are because this is a sequel to the other twilight sagas. The only thing you see in this opening scene is the titles of all of the characters etc. and you see where the whole film is set. You see different parts of where its going to be set weather its in the woods or by the lake. You then see a red vampire eye, which tells the viewer that Bella, has been turned into a vampire. This is the last thing you see in breaking dawn part 1. So you can relate these two together.

Breakfast at tiffanys film opening

In the opening scene of breakfast at tiffany’s the first character you see is that main character. You get a clear view of what the mina character looks like. You can see by what she is wearing that she is very well educated and has a bit of money. She is also very elegant and looks like she has been taught well and has good manners.

Warm bodies film opening

In the opening of warm bodies you get introduced to the main character that is walking through an airport. You then get introduced to another character that is the main characters friend. You can see from the scene all the people are zombies and no one is living. There is a tracking shot of the main character walking towards the camera. By the slow pace of the opening you can also tell that the characters don’t move very fast and our dead.
