The Notebook
In the opening of the
notebook there is music playing throughout. The music is being played on a
piano and its very soft gentle music.
The first shot is of a lake
with the sun coming up. There is someone rowing on the lake.
The second shot is of the
rower but closer, it’s more of a mid shot and then the shot goes to a close up
of the rower rowing through the water
It then cuts to a long shot
of the lake again
You then see seagulls flying
towards a big white house. The house establishes where the film is going to
take place
You then see a women
looking out onto the lake. This is the first shot you seen of one of the main
character. This introduces the main character to the audience. By seeing a shot
of her face the audience becomes familiar with the character
