Preparing for our own title sequence.
I am working in a pair with Mia Marr. For our opening sequence we have decided to do a thriller. We have both decided that we enjoy thrillers and would be able to make a good film about a thriller. For the setting of our film we have decided to film in public park/woods. For our opening we are not going to have a massive script with all of the lines to be said perfectly. We are going to tell the actor (Jemma Christy) the storyline and then she can make up the lines when suited and that they make sense to the scene. We might have some music playing in the background and going louder when not talking and quieter when talking. If we cannot get the speech we are planning to do a voice over with music. If we use music we will create this music on garage band or find a piece that is un-copyrighted so we can use this. We have found that this setting suits our genre well as you wouldn’t find a horror in a playground. This would help us portray our genre clearly. We have chosen to do our filming in the evening but when it is still light. This makes it more believable due to the scene being two girls running in a park. They wouldn’t be running in the middle of the night because there teenagers. This makes the film look more professional. Our film is going be aged at teenager 15+. We have certificated if this age due to some of the graphic features, which would carry on throughout the scene, like blood and murder and some inappropriate language for small kids to hear. In our film opening we have used teenagers, as the actors so the audience can engage into the film and can compare there own life styles to the film.
